Looking for some weekend entertainment, checkout  the hilarious comedy of S.N.A.C.K.S. - a hot new comedy group. They will be performing their new show, "Mayonnaise is Enough." Be sure to join the group S.N.A.C.K.S. on Face Book.  the groups' creator Evan Schimdt is graduating in the Spring with a degree in Television. With a writing and producing major, she has written and produced multiple shows for
 Columbia including three seasons of Out on a Limb. Most recently, you can see her in the hallway TV monitors on various episodes of Hot Spots, Where it's At, and Geekin' Out. Outside of Columbia, Evan is involved with Second City's Conservatory program. S.N.A.C.K.S. is now in its third week in Donny's Skybox. When she's not devoting her time to comedy, she's free-lance producing the very new webisode, "Free Lunch" and working on a script or ten of her own. Sometimes she eats or sleeps.

It's in the Blood: Leo Ashbire & The Cajun Tradition

Friday  afternoon, March 6, 2009 check out a screening of "It's in the Blood: Leo Abshire & the Cajun Tradition," a Cajun documentary, by Eric Scoll (Television Department Professor) and Cindy Moran at the Chicago International Movies & Music Festival. The screening is at 3:30 at the Cultural Center, and is free (or pay what you want). Eric & Cindy will be there answering questions. For more information send an email to escholl@colum.edu.
